USSIA and Microfinance Support Centre organises a sensitisation workshop.

Access to finance is an important aspect of fostering entrepreneurship and yet it continues to be a major constraint for MSMEs and entrepreneurs especially the youths. A study conducted by Financial Services Deepening Uganda (FSDU 2016) indicates that 7 out of every 10 SMEs identified ‘limited access to finance’ and the ‘cost of finance’ as constraints to business growth.  To solve the challenge of access to reliable and affordable financing to MSME businesses, Uganda Small Scale Industries Association and Microfinance Finance Support Centre (MSC) organised a sensitisation workshop for USSIA members in Mbale & Masaka zones on the different financing options. This was under the need for entrepreneurs to understand the different financing options available for business growth and also understand the requirements necessary to acquire the finance from the institution.
