The key strategic goals for the coming five years (2015-2019) are:
Goal 1: To broaden the membership base in order to represent the whole spectrum of micro, small and medium industries and supportive service enterprises
Goal 2: To strengthen USSIA’s governance structures and the secretariat’s capacity to deliver on its mandate
Goal 3: To lobby and advocate for the interests of the micro, small and medium scale enterprises and supportive service enterprises
Goal 4: To offer integrated, quality and demand-driven services to members; to improve on their competitiveness
Goal 5:To promote greater inclusion and participation of women and youth in USSIA’s programs and activities.
Goal 6: To mobilize adequate resources in order to ensure USSIA’s financial sustainability
Goal 7: To establish and promote a good relationship with Government, Development Partners, Stakeholders and build the USSIA image at all levels
The key strategic goals for the past five years (2010-2014) are:
To build a strong membership base of 2000 registered, operating and subscribing micro and small scale industries by the year 2014 through focused membership recruitment, retention and reintegration programme.
To build the capacity of USSIA Secretariat to efficiently and effectively use all resources; in form of technical, financial and human to deliver on its mandate
To establish and promote a good relationship with Government, Development Partners, Stakeholders and build USSIA's image at all levels.
To strengthen the entrepreneurial and technical capacity of members by developing and operationalise a Service Delivery Concept that addresses the needs of the members. We will also develop a specific programme to build the capacity and visibility of women small scale industrialists entrepreneurs in USSIA
To strengthen the function of USSIA Governance structures countrywide by revamping the structures to transform them into an efficient and effective framework for membership development as well as service delivery mechanism.
